Why This Matters for Your Body, Not Just the Planet
Microplastics aren't just an ocean problem anymore. Research over the past few years has detected microplastic particles in human blood, lung tissue, and even placental tissue. We're still learning what that means for long-term health, but the direction of the research is enough to make most of us pause. When your gear is pressed against sweaty, warm skin for an hour of vinyasa, or when synthetic fibres are airborne in a busy studio, it's not unreasonable to want fewer synthetic plastics in the mix.
